What documents does my pet need to travel from the UK to Europe?
Post-Brexit, UK pets travelling to Europe need: a valid microchip, an up-to-date rabies vaccination, and an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) issued by an official vet within 10 days of travel.
What documents are needed to return to the UK from Europe?
Your pet needs a valid microchip, a rabies vaccination (at least 21 days before travel if newly vaccinated), and a tapeworm treatment (for dogs) administered 24–120 hours before arrival in the UK.
